A hearty chicken noodle soup is always a nice meal to enjoy in the fall. Sipping on hot soup is a great way to fight off the chill in the air as the weather starts to change. An added bonus of this recipe for Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup is that it keeps well in the refrigerator and can even be frozen for future consumption. It’s a simple meal that is very tasty and filling.
1/2 Chicken or 3 Large Chicken Thighs fully cooked, deboned, skin and bones removed, chopped into chunks
3 large stalks of celery chopped
1 medium onion roughly chopped
4 chicken bouillon cubes
8 cups of water
1/2 tsp pepper
2 cups large egg noodles cooked
1/4 cayenne pepper (optional)
Salt to taste
Instructions
In a large pot put in all your ingredients on high heat.
Bring to boil, then reduce heat to low
Allow to simmer until carrots are tender
*Optional: Serve with grilled cheese sandwich
